B.OKideas had the opportunity to support Lifeline Australia at the Chairmans Lunch at The Westin, Martin Place, Sydney on Wednesday May 30th, 2018. With over 750 influential individuals and businesses who advocate the work of Lifeline and the world of mental health, and it was an honour to be a part of.
“The sheer fact that John Brogden believed in the concept, idea and support that encompasses a B.OK Box there was warmth from the minute I entered the Ballroom.” Kietah shares.
The room was filled with inspiring individuals and the positive energy was contagious. People began to settle and shortly after the guests were greeted by John Brodgen who explained his personal hardships and both his and his teams efforts to change the stigma around mental health, help provide more resources toward suicide preventative measures while mentioning the extended support group to make it all happen.
“Another key area that we all need to recognise is supporting up and coming social enterprises and young entrepreneurs, such as Kietah Martens-Shaw who is here today and has kindly put together a B.OK Box for each table.” Says John.
After 40 seconds of bringing to life the essence of a Winter B.OK Box& The B.OK Box for Men, and it being the first ever long term gifting support – the response and feedback was overwhelming.
“I was so proud to look around the room and see a touch of yellow and a gift of positivity on every table and how this opportunity gave people the opportunity to explore and experience the product first hand.” Says Kietah.
It was very evident after this event that once a B.OK Box is experienced first hand there is no doubt of its purpose and power.
